LOL. Procrastination.
It's been so long since I've written in this blog...LMAO.
Home from a golf practice..It was 92 degrees out! It was crazy hot, but being from a tropical country, I'm kinda used to it. What I wasn't use to is the HUMIDITY. God, it was sweltering!
And I haven't been writing my story either...this is a disaster...In school we're reading Naomi Shihab Nye's poems. I'm alright with it. Not much interest...
Currently reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I have to work on the writing...I'm currently very very excited but also anxious, because I've sent my Maximum Ride writing contest entry, and it'll be long before they decide the winner. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be getting 1st place...T-T But that'll be awesome--if I get the first place, I mean.
If I get first place, I'll get $2,500!!!
But even if I don't get 1st place, I'd still be getting Fang copy with signature. (If I get to be one of the top 5, that is...)
Ahhh, so anxious! Writing the outline was sort of frustrating (since it was only 50 words) and well, I thought writing it was going to be harder than the outline. The thing is, the actual writing was actually way better (FUNNER) than the short outline. I waited to send it after I read Fang that I got for my birthday, and well, I sent it in May, way past my birthday. LOL. The due date for the contest is May 31st...
SO ANXIOUS..Ciao. Gotta write!

Nook...and books...
LOL. Haven't written anything on this blog at all...my bad.
When I cleaned my room around 2 days ago, my mom told me that I have too many books; regardless from multiple languages dictionaries and textbooks to novels and graphic novels. She said, "Please don't buy anymore books."
Argh, I mean, it's understandable why she said that; my room is small and there's not much space. But I don't really want a closet; I can live with just a small wardrobe of clothes. But books?? That's way more interesting than clothes, no? (People may think I'm weird for wanting books more than clothes...but there's a lot of worlds you can get into by reading a book--You can enter a world of romance, an adventure, a mystery and etcetera. While with clothes....I really don't see any point of buying excessive amount of it...
Yes, I want clothes to cover my skin, but I don't get how anyone would spend $2800 for a handbag. Well, okay, it's a branded franchise...But I still don't see the point.
I'd rather buy myself a personal library~
So my mom told me to invest on an Amazon Kindle product. I looked it up and I dislike the product, though it has a cheaper price of books later on. Sony eReader, the Daily edition is what I would like, but it's too expensive. The best option currently is nook--a very good deal from Barnes and Nobles. Maybe later on iPad will have a program for digital reader. Well...save up first, I guess.

I have been reading this series when I was in 8th grade, yet my school library at that time didn't have the book more than 2 books. Just recently, because of the movie, it has been another big hit in my current high school. Well, I'm just glad all the sudden the library is filled with new books.

Loooong Monday Today.
Saw some interesting performances today in school for the African American month. The most "interesting" part today, though, was that it snowed so much!! It was pretty, yes, but at the same time it was annoying, lol.
And here in Minnesota, I'm pretty sure we're on the list having the most snow for February. Come on, it's spring already!!
Still studying for J Quiz...Have to make the speech, or else...
LOL.
Well, I'm still thinking about what's the speech's gonna be. And it's due tomorrow for the teachers to correct it. Well...I'll do it in my classes..While I'm thinking of the topic now.
For school newspaper, the Beacon, I'm trying to submit book reviews and other articles too. My first article's about Japanese program at my school, my second is a book review--Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.

Currently Reading.
What I just finished reading:
Being Nikki (Second book of "Airhead" by Meg Cabot)
It was as good as the first book, Airhead, and rather than the normal romance book, it has a twist of dilemma with brain transplant. Recommended for readers who likes I'll Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You by Ally Carter or teenage romance novels.
What I'm going to start reading:
Just Like That by Marsha Qualey
My favorite book??? Still Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.
But then, I still love the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson.
NFX and Japanese Quizbowl.
Studying for NFX (National French Exam) that'll be held in mid-March is definitely way easier than for next Saturday, February 13th 2010, which is when the 2010 Japanese Quizbowl of Minnesota will be held. LOL. Of course NFX will be easier--I'm in French 1, and for J-Quiz? I'm in level 3! Oh, God. Being the captain for the 3rd level is definitely has putting pressure on my mind--even though just a little bit--since last year, as a 2nd level captain my team (which consists of 3 people) didn't made it to the finals.
This year though, I'm hoping I'll do a better job as a captain--especially in the essay portion of the Japanese Quizbowl--since I'm researching a paper for my study abroad next year.
Argh. Better study now, right???

What I'll be doing here.
I'm new to blogger and I just made a livejournal account in Saturday. I would like to be a writer in the future, and I have just finished reading Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick--my new all-time favorite book. Can't wait to read the second book!
To all Twilight fans, no offense, but this is something different. It has the same essence of a forbidden love, but at the same time it indulge us as readers to another different world, out of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with a twist.
The second book of the series, Crescendo, will be out in the fall of 2010. I really can't wait!!
My livejournal is like a diary of the day, a short paragraph on two to show my learning process and steps to be a writer.
In this blog, I will also try to make a page or section about my art project.
